At the age of fourteen, when most teenage boys were playing sports or collecting comic books, I was collecting Prada ads. I would go to the public library and check out magazines ranging from Vogue to GQ, carefully tearing out the ads. By the time I left for college, I had amassed three binders of Prada ads — all protected in plastic sheets — displaying the photographs of such greats as Glen Luchford and Cedric Buchet. These ads represent the history of my youth as well as my earliest career aspirations.
